In order to promote the audiobooks launch, the marketing team at Scribd needed a custom landing page, banner ads, and various images for the press, blog announcement, and email. Our goal was to attract a different group of readers and raise subscription numbers.
Scribd partnered with Findaway to get the audio files. We had so many great front-end titles from big publishers that we hadn't had access to previously, coupled with some really great narrators including Jim Dale, Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, Patti Smith, Alan Cumming, Garrison Keillor, Jeremy Irons, and many more. We wanted to feature these powerful voices and new books front and center while also conveying the practicality of audiobooks (they're portable and easily fit into your busy schedule).
I designed a responsive landing page showing quality titles handpicked by the editorial team. I pushed for a fold that allowed new listeners to sample featured books before being directed to the main site, a challenge that the engineer welcomed.

The results were outstanding– the highest segment of readers joined rapidly, and we drew attention from a few publishers we had been trying to win over. Shortly after, Penguin Random House Audio joined, so I adapted a separate landing page for them:
